The INNOVA 500 is a new compact exhaust emission analyser incorporating the latest microcontroller technology and designed to meet the highest standards and demands for tomorrow. The fully digital infrared gas bench technology provides rapid analysis of a vehicles performance with pinpoint precision of the exhaust measurement.


Together with the bright LED displays, the built-in printer, the INNOVA 500 is the most user friendly analyser for mandatory vehicle emission testing and fault diagnosis of today. The INNOVA 500 is standard equipped with test features such as a RPM and oil temperature sensor, for a complete and comprehensive diagnosis of petrol, LPG and CNG vehicle emissions.

Test results can easily be analysed, taking only a few minutes of the technicians time to complete a full emission test. Diesel measurement is available as a key option. The INNOVA 500 is MID (OIML R99 Class 0) approved.

What is an INNOVA 500?

The INNOVA 500 is a versatile "multigas" analyzer that meets today's highest technical requirements. By using the very latest multi-microprocessor technology, the INNOVA 500 is a powerful analysis system that quickly and very accurately analyzes all relevant components of the The INNOVA 500 is equipped with a modern fully digital measuring cell, working according to the "Non Dispersive Infra-Red" principle.


How does an INNOVA 500 work?

The current soot measurement as we know it in the Dutch APK is performed during free acceleration. The accelerator pedal should be depressed as much as possible to measure the maximum smoke emission. With the new particle counter, this free acceleration is a thing of the past. A particle counter measures at idle speed and will therefore be friendlier to use. The engine will of course have to be at operating temperature for the measurement, in order to guarantee correct operation of the particulate filter. A separate speed measurement will not be necessary. Finally, the expectation is that a 0-emission unit will also become a thing of the past. Carrying out an MOT measurement for diesel vehicles will therefore become a lot easier.
